Descripción de Destino Day 1: Fly to San Jose. You will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2: Today you have a great sightseeing tour exploring San Jose. The tour visits the opulent National Theater, one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful buildings, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the National Museum in Bella Vista Fortress, which houses a large collection of pre-Columbian art. We finish at the San Jose Shopping center. (B)
Day 3: Departing San Jose, you will enjoy the picturesque drive north to San Carlos. In route see sugar cane and coffee plantations as we pass through Alajuela province. Next arrive at the Arenal Volcano, one of the most active in the world, with its steaming, rumbling cone and spewing lava. After hotel check in grab your swim suit for an evening visit to the Tabacon or Baldi Hot Springs. Enjoy natural hot mineral pools and waterfalls. (B, D)
Day 4: Ground transfer to Sarapiqui, the Tropical Humid Forest, after check in you can enjoy doing the class III White Water Rafting at Sarapiqui River or choose the Sarapiqui Jungle Safari and River float. (B)
Day 5: Today you leave for San Jose via the Rain Forest Highway and stop at the Rain Forest Aerial Tram. The Rain Forest Aerial Tram – Atlantic is a 475-hectare (1,200-acre) private reserve, it shares a 10 km border with Braulio Carrillo National Park and constitutes a buffer zone between the park and farm lands. The park’s multiple gateways take you to each unique rainforest dimension: flights above the canopy treetop, guided nature hikes for all levels of physical ability, a snake exhibit (with more than 10 reptile species), a multi-colored Frog and Butterfly Garden and bird watching. We continue the transfer to you hotel in San Jose. (B, L)
Day 6: This morning enjoy the Coffee Tour: Experts lead the way, bringing coffee’s fascinating history and production cycle to life with homespun Costa Rican humor that appeals to coffee lovers of all ages. Next sample your fill of our coffees and specialty coffee drinks, some prepared with coffee liqueurs. Enjoy a delicious lunch at our on-site ¨ Don Prospero ¨Restaurant, and stock up on coffee and fine crafts at their factory store, ¨La Casita ¨. In the afternoon we leave to discover La Paz Waterfall gardens. (B, L)
